Photographs of plants growing. showed every couple of days, could compare and contrast
What was it used for? The children were following in science the things plants need to be able to grow. We investigated water and nutrients. In pairs they each had a seed and they had to make it grow, ensuring they were giving the plant everything it required. Pros? Cons? Could this be used in the future? To map anything that shows a process- in art the process of making a clay pot. photos could be taken of the various stages to show the end product. Children can use this to track their own success or the teacher could use this to show the various steps to success. |

What was it used for?
Used the visualiser LOTS
- show children's work. 2 stars and a wish
- Enlarge a picture from a book
- art and craft show how to do each step- big
- exemplified how to used maths straws for crocodile mouths during observation
Pros?
Cons?
Whilst on placement I have not worked out how to show a child's work and annotate it using the interactive whiteboard. I have since been shown how to do this in a IWB session at University and look forward to using this on FPP.

What was it used for?
This book was to be enjoyed and used during music session once a week. The children thoroughly enjoyed the book but often their giggles induced mine and the rhythmic book had to be stopped mid way through. I used this book to teach the children about Pulse and Rhythm and I found it difficult to maintain the pulse whilst I was speaking the words. With a pre-recording it enabled me to focus on the cildren and the maintenance of the Pulse. The children gained alot more from the session by me not stopping half way through.
I used Audacity to record myself reading the book at the desired speed and then created a mini-movie using Windows Movie Maker and then uploaded on to Youtube. The school I was working in could access Youtube meaning that this resource was avaibale at all times (even when it wasn't a designated music lesson). It was simple and quick to create the audio file/movie and upload.

Certainly!! Children often get bored by listening to the teacher and for FPP I would like to experiement with recording different voices (probably my parents!) to read an extract or present some information. The novelty of something new would gain with interest and maintain their concentration.
